I work as an Electronic Technician and I have a Vidmar that I need fill with a TECHNICIANS TOOL SET. I specify technicians tool set because I work on electronics and every tool set I have come across seems to be geared toward mechanics. If any of my guys ever have a 1-7/8" wrench in there hand I am going to follow them and see who they are swinging it at because we never need tools that big. I am looking more toward a complete 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch set with accessories as well as an array of screwdrivers, pliers, etc. I would like a larger shop set to fill up the Vidmar, not individual sets. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Don't look for a set, take the opportunity to buy really good individual tools.

Choose your pliers from CK, Lindstrom, Schmitz, Erem, Tronex etc.

Screwdrivers from Wiha, Felo, PB Swiss, Wera etc.

Good LED Flashlight, Butane soldering iron if needed - What field of electronics are you in?

Thanks for the input. We do teach Fire Control for the Coast Guard and this will be going into our lab. We already have a VIDMAR of equipment specific tools but I wanted to complete set that had some consistency between them. We have purchased individual sets but the organization is a pain with VIDMAR because they dont have many organization options. When you purchase the tools separate they all have their respective cases and in a VIDMAR either all of the cases are divided by a metal divider or they are all in the same drawer and it becomes a mess.
