Looking for some help trying to find some very small eye bolts. I'm not talking eye screws but eye bolts. The bolt portion needs to be able to fit through about a 1/16" hole. I'll probably need nuts for them too. My searches are just not yielding anything substantial. Anyone know where these can be found? Thanks!

I've never looked for them. Does mcmaster have the size you need? https://www.mcmaster.com/eyebolts/

Can't say I ever did any that small, #0 machine right. What I have done is straighten the offset in lock washers, and welded the split side to the top of bolts. Would be a tig or gas weld for you small size, or braze/solder depending on the strength requirement.

Checked McMaster Carr. The smallest they have is #6-32. Too big ideally but I could make them work. Seeing MC didn't have any smaller kind of made me think I'll have to go in a different direction.

not sure what you're using them on, but could you use cotter pins?

Yeah, I've thought about using cotter pins. That might be my fallback. I've got tons of them and probably have some that would fit a 1/16" hole.

These are for a set of wind chimes I'm rehabilitating for my mom. Three of these whatever I end up using will attach to three light chains from which the wind chimes hang. So if you've got any other ideas please let me know. So not rocket science and I'm making it harder than it needs to be but trying to have it nice and clean looking for my mom.

Thanks!
Mike

Got a fishing buddy? Some heavy mono or braid with a large knot of your liking.
