Hello All

I am in the middle of my 2 garage build in Western Carolina. Looking for some advice on lighting. I am not CAD proficient and the house would be finished by the time I did one rendering.

Garage 1- 28 x 26 ...scissored trusses..sloped from front to center. 12-15ft height. Floor will be Legacy stain and coated..walls will be bright white.
To be used as part time detail shop and light mechical work. Would like 2 60" ceiling fans

Garage 2 - " Show" garage - 21 x 20 ...2 cars ..Race Deck flooring...has no windows..10ft ceiling height. Possibly LED recessed over the cars (?) with 2 52" ceiling fans??????

As with any build, costs have grown and would like to keep these down...

Thank you in advance......Bill

Your best bet is prob 8 foot 4 bulb t8 fixtures. Figure about every 6-10 feet in two rows and that should give you pretty good lighting for the non showroom. The showroom you have a lot of options but will all be pretty exspensive since it need to have a clean look. They make led 2x2 fixtures that look pretty good, see them at gas stations more recently

No way I'd go with anything longer than 48" if I was going with florescent. Everything about an eight foot lamp is a pia. You can always double up if you need the light. Personally, I'd go led if I had the money.
