Hi guys, new to this forum. So be kind to the newbie !

I am looking for some advise. I spend most of my weekends sorting screws in the garage. Gotta lot of old rusted screws (metric and imperial) that I just like to keep a hold of.
Any tips on how best to sort them ? I need to start cutting down my hours spent in the garage – getting married this year and I’ve started to learn to play the ukulele...

I set out about 10 cans on the bench, and dump out a bunch of hardware on the bench or in a big drain pan. then I pick a style , say hex head sheet metal. I pick up all them , and put 'em in a can . next go to pan head sheet metal , pull out all them by now you'll see ones youve missed , , throw them in the appropriate can .I try not to go for more than an hour at a time , my arms get tired and its boring !!

I use plastic peanut butter jars, spice jars, etc...with screw on lids. No glass in my garage.

While some people use metal cans, plastic coffee containers, etc...I prefer the clear ones so I can see what is in them without having to open them.

My family all saves them for me.

EDIT: I have health problems, so when I need a break I sit down and sort stuff. Gives me a chance to recuperate in front of the fan and drink some water (its hot this summer).

The plastic easy sorter from HF works great for sorting
Made in the U.S.A. by Teerco Inc.
