Last year I found a few Stanley 750 socket chisels and a 720. Then picked up a couple on the big auction site over Xmas. I like the way these chisels sharpen and hold their edge. I'm hoping to find some here to complete a set. One of the more easy identifiers, as far as I know, is the red lacquered hickory handles with leather washers at the end. The 750 chisel blade section is about 3-1/4" while the 720 is over 6". I mention this because Stanley made both models of these chisels with and without the model no stamped on the socket at the top. They are generally stamped either "STANLEY" "Model No. 7x0" "Made in USA" or "STANLEY" "Made in USA". Here's a pic of two of my No. 750 chisels (top 2) and my No. 720 (bottom). Let me know what you've got please!

Thanks!

I've added some more chisels to my in-progress sets. I'd prefer chisels stamped with the model number but beggars can't be choosers. Here is what I'm missing and still needed:

Stanley No. 750 (3-1/4" blade section) 1/8", 5/8", 7/8", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 1-3/4" & 2"

Stanley No. 720 (6" blade section) 3/8", 5/8" 3/4", 7/8", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" & 2"

I'd also be interested in buying any Stanley red lacquered chisel handles with leather washers on the end.

Thanks!
