Over the summer cleaned up the under house garage and now I'm out of ideas as to how to cover up the oil tank in a way to allow access not block it off. Any suggestions on how to go about it would be appreciated.

I would attempt to move the column to directly under the corner. Then I would make 2 sheets of plywood that cover the tank. Use deck screws for when you need to pull off a panel for access. I am guessing that is once per year, but maybe I am wrong. Using thick plywood 3/4" coming to mind, you could probably hang a lot of stuff from that surface. Even pegboard could be laminated with 1x spacer blocks.

Thanks Matt, think Ive been suffering from 'cant see the forest through the trees' syndrome. Been looking at it for so long cant seem to figure out what to do. Your idea is simple and effective. Oh think its been said here previously that curtains have no place in a garage.

How about peg board with those spring plugs on the back? I don't remember the name of them but they have them at my local hardware. You can put them on the back of the panel and just pull them out when need to. Plus with peg board you can hang stuff on it when you aren't needing to remove them.
