I bought an on/off switch for my table saw to replace the rigged one that's on there now.

I want to mount it on the table saw station I built.

Please see the attached pictures.

I don't see any reason a standard electrical box wouldn't work if it fits.

Although it is a **** switch, try a single gang bell box ( die cast weatherproof box) a deeper box will give additional room if that route is chosen, plus the bell box will look decent.

Sometimes it is worth it to just spend the extra money

I have this Kreg switch which I use with my router. It is rated for 15 amps and it has two outlets on the back. You plug your device into an outlet on the rear and then you plug the switch in

Not sure if you're up to the metalwork, but when I fitted one of these switches to a bandsaw, what I did was to buy a 4" square box with a blank cover plate, and I cut out a hole in the blank cover to fit one of these switches.

The reason these switches are cheap, is they're made in China, to fit metric sized boxes. Keep in mind that their screw holes aren't going to fit anything you can find in a local electrical supply.

Oh, and the UL listing is bogus. AFAIK, anything actually UL listed that is imported from China, must come with a holographic UL label. There's just so much damn counterfeiting going on there.

So did y'all pull the nuts off the back of those screws and just use the screws to mount it to the box?
