When your are looking to buy tools, where do you go to purchase, research, test? I've invent a new tool we are current selling to multiple industries. I'd like a larger audience among auto and truck mechanics and better way to reach mechanics that love new innovative tools. I have videos posted on our website and YouTube and are getting many views. What about TV shows and Magazines. Where should I be spending advertising dollars? I'm looking to reach those of you that need every tool in their tool chest.

I buy 90+% of my tools on-line. I generally stick with US made tools and have not had a problem. Most of my tool "research" comes from Garage Journal. This is where I learn about new tools.

BTW, what are you selling?

I usually dig around on here for reviews and feedback before I pull the trigger on something. If members on here give it a thumbs up, I usually end up buying it.

Most things I buy online, my brick and mortar business goes to HF and pawn shops, and occasionally Lowes/HD.

I'd say send review units to YouTube tool reviewers. Maybe advertise in back of Popular Mechanics or car magazines? Definitely open a store on Amazon to sell.

I was about to the say the same. Some of the best feedback and advertising you can get is reviews from end users that have either youtube channels or good standing on public forums and etc.

I use garage journal threads and amazon reviews for research. I buy wherever the best deal is, and if I can't find a deal I'll buy another brand. I don't own many, if any, tools that I paid MSRP for, or anywhere near. Most are eBay purchases and student discount purchases.

If you can sell on Amazon and get a high review for the product, that's good advertising for most people. Amazon has one of the largest collection of customer reviews, and a lot of people read those reviews before buying a product, even if they plan to buy it elsewhere.

Hot Rod Stewart That's a great suggestion. Unfortunately I don't have your address. HAHA.
I'll look more into Amazon. Lots to do when you launch a new product. Luckily I do have help.

Your product looks very promising. I could see a lot of benefit for a mechanic doing a lot of tire swaps, suspension work, etc.

I looked at your distributor list and it seems very small. I think you are losing out huge by not having at least one online reseller/outlet.

At the top of your screen, check out The Alliance..
GJ is one of my favorite sites... People are welcome to ask questions and share experience and opinions...

Your product has the potential to save many of us major time on our work. I am pleased to see a USA product come to market... Ads in popular magazines related to auto, truck, and farm equipment have tweaked my interest often.. These magazines are read by people who have an established interest in mechanics, so I believe this is your best bang for the buck in printed advertising... I usually scoop up the ad section of a Sunday paper and toss it in the trash... I don't care to sort out the shoe and makeup adds from the pots and pans..

I just downloaded your website. I often only need to open my computer documents to find a tool or information I am looking for. Thanks for your website contribution. Getting the word out on your website would be a big plus..

First I would tell you to become an alliance member here, I think it is only 50.00 a year.
Then Have a contest here on G.J. and give away a couple or few of your product. Then have the winner write a online review for your product. Either use ebay or another online seller to get your brand name out on the web more. You want your name to pop up every time some one searches on the net. P.M. me for my address for you to send me my free set for the advise....Richie

^^^^ I think this covers it for most of us here.

Online shopping for me is tooltopia, zorro, fox run tools, sometimes ebay or amazon.
