Looking for WinAlign 5.2

Hi Everyone! I have an old Hunter P211 alignment computer that has served me very well over the years. Unfortunately, I recently had a hard drive failure in it. I've replaced the drive (with a solid state one) and tracked down Windows 98 and installed that - but I'm struggling to find the right version of WinAlign for it. There's a red V5 key installed in the board:




I've found WinAlign V1.1, and that doesn't install, with the following error:




And I've found V6, but get this error when I try the installation:



(And clicking OK ends the installation with an error message)

It seems a shame to throw out an otherwise good piece of hardware. If anyone knows of an old copy of WinAlign V5 - or has any other suggestions for me, please let me know!

That's actually the link I found for the V1.1 software that I downloaded and tried - it's actually what brought me to this site originally!

Well, he's still active. Shoot him a message and see if he has the 5.2 ISO. I see the link he posted is only for 1.1.

I have. Unfortunately, he no longer has that machine or the software.

What happens if you take those upgrade keys out? Will the 1.1 work then?

I'm sure Hunter is no help and if they were it'd be Company Property thing. *****
I worked for a surveying company and they had 14 copies of autocad software in several offices. Cost us $56,000 dollars for unauthorized copies or get sued to death. LOL
I'd try some mom and pop's shops with old equipment and see if they can help. Just like all of them tho, the gear and software are probably gone.

The thing is with the old Winalign software they used activation floppy discs that were one time use. No one thought to make bit perfect copies before use. Just installed the update and activated it.

I don't miss using that machine. Bump the head making adjustments and have to start over, take too long and the internal batteries would die, then would need to plug all the heads in the cables.
