I want to have a workbench that is mobile but also can be latched in place along the wall. I have been searching for threads about this but can't seem to find anything. Anyone have something similar or can someone turn me onto a thread?

Thanks

I have 2' wide benches permanently attached to the walls of my shop that total 24 feet in length. However, my favorite bench is a 4'x4' bench on locking swivel casters, with storage underneath, that also doubles as an out feed table for my table saw. This bench could be pushed against a wall and be temporarily fixed in place with the casters locked. My other benches are rather cluttered, but I do make an effort to keep this bench cleared off on a regular basis.

E-Track. Make your bench with castors or wheels, then use it to position the e-track so you won't have problems with any unlevelness in the floor. Gotta make sure the benchtop is parallel to the floor rather than perfectly level if you do it this way.
