Looking into RaceDeck White Tile Diamond, What is the upkeep?

Good Day All,

I've been interested in using RaceDeck to lay over my garage floor. It is 750sqft and I have been quoted average 4k to fix the spalling and either polish or coat it.

I will not be running the Free Flow because of the spalling and how much dust it puts up. I rather completely cover the surface to prevent that.

That being said I am a track junkie :rocker: and I am always working on my vehicle, so there will be constant use and abuse on the floor. From rolling of jacks, tool boxes, jack stands, engines etc.:uzi:

Now to the real reason of this post.

I am a fan of the white tiles because;

1st. The way the light would reflective off the tile, making it all around brighter and easier for visibility while working on the vehicle.

2nd. I just love the way a completely white garage floor looks.

Does anyone have the RaceDeck white diamond tile and how is the upkeep / can you restore it back to original look.

Open to suggestions

Thank you

We have a car that spends a lot of time at road courses besides almost being a daily driver. All the work that has been done on this car is in a family garage with RaceDeck tiles. This includes suspension change outs, oil changes, multiple brake changes, pulling the transmission to replace clutches and so on. Gear oil, engine oil, and brake fluid have been spilled on it.

This has been going on now for close to four years. The tiles still look good with a little bit of cleaning and scrubbing now and then and we only have had to replaced two tiles. The non free-flow is a good choice. We have a small section near the front to the garage with Free-Flow and it's hard on the knees and elbows.

That said, I would highly recommend you stay away from the white tiles. You are going to see every bit of dust, dirt, grease, and etc. on that color. In addition, the high traffic areas are going to stand out after a while compared to the low traffic areas.

There are people here on the forum that have done black and white checkered RaceDeck tiles and really like them. However, all they do is park their car in the garage and they say the white tiles require a lot of maintenance. RaceDeck does have a tile restore cleaner that works well, but you don't want to be using that every time you clean. Here is one such member's thread: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=449478
I'm sure he would respond if you email him with questions through the forum.

If you like the idea of light reflection, I would go with the Alloy color instead.

Thank you. The Alloy does seem to offer a light of reflection without the upkeep of the white

Looking at the pictures online the white tile is so much nicer but the alloy is exactly what I need.

Thank you!
