Looking to build 24x30 garage

Looking to build a 24x30 garage but contractor sticker shock is scaring me off? Also, the trusses seem unreasonably high at almost 5k just for them. Anyone have any ideas? I think I can build it all myself except I am too old to be setting trusses! Any feedback or leads on reasonable contractors appreciated! Joe

I assume the trusses ( or whatever joists, rafters ) span the 24’ . You can get a framing crew to frame just the roof, and maybe do roof sheathing or purlins, also. May need engineering. Or get a truss company to engineer and fabricate your roof framing. They’ll probably be able to recommend some small companies that can erect your trusses, and they can probably do the sheathing, too.
You can do all the rest. You don’t have the hassle of hiring and directing help. And a crane.
