Hi everyone. I am looking to build a 30x40 garage with 12ft ceilings. I would like the ability to have 4 car lifts in the garage so i would be able to store 8 cars in it if needed. Would this be big enough for that? I would have 2 garage doors at the front (30 feet wide at the front). Because of my neighborhood restrictions i would need to make it mostly out of brick. Any one out there have this similar layout and know where i could look for plans? Thanks!

Too small in both directions, unless they are really small cars and you aren't planning to work in there or storing anything else.

Check the length and width of the lifts you are planning to use and also look at the Power pack size and its impact on the footprint.

I have a 30x60 and I wouldn't try to put four lifts in that. There wouldn't be room to do anything else. Unless its just for parking but that is still cramped.

I have a 30 x 40 and I see maybe 3 lifts in the 30 foot deep measurement. But there would be little room in front or behind them. It would be a storage only environment.

what do you recommend then for size? I want to be deep enough to put them front to back on each side and have a total of 4 lifts if I want.

If you go 30 wide and 40 deep, how would you not have room for 2 lifts front to make and 2 side by side

Mine is 24x48x13.5 and was sized to be able to fit four 4 post lifts (Direct Lift PP9+). Two 18' wide doors across the long dimension to make parking as direct as possible (never more than 1 car has to be moved to get any other car out of the garage). If I put 4 lifts in it, I would have very little work area, but it clearly would be possible to park 8 cars in it with 4 of the cars being full size crew cab regular bed trucks.

I don't plan on ever doing this, but you never know.....
