Like others have said, get a charger that's a maintainer. That way there's no risk of overcharging, or boiling away electrolyte. The maintainer will charge your battery up, realize when it's fully charged, and switch to maintenance mode where it will just keep monitoring the battery, and only charge it more when/if it needs it.

I got the Sears version of that maintainer about 1 year ago. No problems.
Was on sale for about $20
