I am just about ready to buy an auto lift for the garage. I have a jeep, Civic, and a Yukon XL. Looking for a two post that will work for any of my vehicles. I am considering buying used, not sure what to look out for.

The usual top-bar vs base-plate consideration for vehicle and ceiling height. Symmetric vs asymmetric types. Required (maximum) column spacing.

Know how your concrete floor was constructed vs the lift mfr's specs.

If you can get your hands on a used Rotary 10k lift, that will be your best bet in terms of quality other than Mohawk but those are pretty pricey. Call your local Rotary dealer and ask, they might have a few from old dealerships. They are pretty much the industry standard in dealerships so there are plenty out there. Symmetrical vs asymmetrical is your choice. If you got a bigger gut, I'd recommend asymmetrical. Most 2 post lifts require just 4.5" reinforced concrete so you should be fine.
