I have the last model. It's fine. Everyone will be in shortly to say you're better off buying a used "commercial" compressor or you need 2 stage 80 gallon Quincy to be able to use a blow gun

WiffySpark,
Thanks. How long have you had it and did you do the extended warranty program? Price at the moment is $499. I don't own a shop, but do automotive work. Leaky

About a year. No on the extended warranty. Our was 499-10% movers coupon. I don't remember how I got the coupon I found it on here. And then usps sent me a pack with the coupon

I do automotive work professionally and the compressor is for side work. Runs all my tools fine even the cut off wheels and stuff. I want to get some isolation pads and maybe a muffler soon. Right now it just sits on crate

I have the 60gal from Harbor Freight for 2 or 3 years now. Flawless. It doesn't run out of air with either painting a car or running cut off wheels.

Pic appears to be the same Cambell Hausfield compressor sold under many different brand names. I have one and it works fine for my needs including hobby-level car resto I'm doing... nothing spectacular, but works and the price was right. Mine is over 10 years old and I bought it used - still running as of this PM. Reasonably quiet - especially compared to a high-speed oiless... but then what isn't.

One notable thing - often the pressure cut-off is 135 psi I think (mine is for sure)... the Kobalt says 155 psi....

I have the prior model too for about a year. Works OK, but is a bit loud. I think it was $479 and I had a $50 off coupon. I usually do not get extended warranties, but I did for this...

Hi,

Looking to buy an Air Compressor and this one at Lowes caught my attention.

Anyone have experience with this Kobalt?

Thanks.

I bought this exact compressor about 3 weeks ago and I love it!

I have never had one to compare it to besides a small 2 gallon. Works fine for everything so far. Runs my impact really well, tire inflator, blow gun and air ratchets.

If your someone like me who just maintains a few personal vehicles, tractors, atv's and works on things as a hobby, then you really cant go wrong buying this.

Shuts off at 155 psi, not 135 psi as stated above.
