i'm sure most of us are taking precautions when assembling our new service panels???? but we can do more...for those using standard builders grade panels take a warning as i have seen a brand new square d panel with loose breakers today... the fix... a dab of noalox anti-oxidant compound on contacts. the arc fault was found early so no damage to the bus bar.

more details on noalox anti-oxidant compound

If the contacts are loose, it's because the part that should be gripping the stud is messed up, or the stud itself is. You shouldn't use antiox to fix that, you should replace the breaker.

If it's the bus bar, that position should not be used or the bus bar replaced.
