I was rebuilding my F936 when the ball bearing came shooting out across the room and into the carpet! Now what? Do i have to order a rebuild kit, or can i get just the ball?

Just go to the hardware store Astro.
It's a common size. You'll find one and be back ratcheting away in no time :)

Got a magnet? It took me about 30 minutes one time out in the garage when I let one get past me before I found it.

They come in the rebuild kit but if you can't find it, almost any dealer will have some spares.

Same happened to me when I was rebuilding the craftsman. I ordered some from McMaster.com. If you or anyone here know the size, I can check what I have...

I can get single ball bearings at Ace H/W, but where do you'all get those tiny springs? I've heard that gun parts suppliers have tiny springs. Anybody know if that's true?

My Ace has a big spring selection, both extension and compression. From teensie-weensie to huge. You can by a longer one and clip it.
