Hey guys and gals.
Been told it's time I did one of these
Names pat
only mum calls me Patrick. And even then I hate it lol.
37 year old perpertual Peter pan. Live in a small town just outside Launceston in the mid north east of Tassie. My gorgeous wife and surprisingly amusing baby boy keep me company.
Most of the details of my adventures can be found in my shed story. But a brief recap.
Moved to Tassie from Brisbane about 5 years ago. Took up an old man apprenticeship as a metal fabricator. Mostly worked in stainless tube and pipe work for medical and food and beverage
Tassie hasn't been that nice to us. Mostly with various medical issues since landing.
I'm currently looking down the barrel of a terminal illness. I think I can trace the misfortune to a flippant remark I made at my 21st about having a midlife crisis (i ran away from a white collar career to race pushbikes and work in bike shops lol)
I also have a very dark sense of humour about the whole adventure. So please don't anyone feel awkward about some of my darker jokes about my illness
I have had a few issues (some strokes and reactions to medications) that sometimes limit my talents in communicating lol so apologies in advance for any missteps I may make
All in all i have been very lucky with a lot of things and outcomes in the last few years. (in pretty good at keeping my eye on the silver lining lol )
Anyways, thanks for reading and feel free to hit me with any sort of random questions you might have
Unfortunately I'm not the tidiest of workers lol
