Hi, I am (hopefully?) having a one car garage built this Spring. Just looking for ideas that will work with my 3 way slight slope. It'll post pictures when I figure out this how.

MIMI: what size garage are you trying to build? lots of good ideas here that is for certain. i have a 9x15 which is my portion of our 2 car garage and i haven't had a car in my side of the garage for years now. maybe you have colder weather, but having a shop is maybe more important than a warm dry car in the winter to me.

welcome to the group

Thanks for the welcome! I'm just starting the design process with my architect. I moved to a 960 sf 1952 ranch after my husband passed in 2013. 2014 we were buried in snow and I realized that life without a garage is not for me. I have a new 8 x 10 deck off the kitchen where the garage will be attached. I'm hoping the deck can be salvaged to use in the back. I don't have any toys, so it will be for my car and lawn equipment, 12 x ? Setbacks are an issue to the side, but I have a huge back yard so a side entry is an option. I don't like the idea of doubling the driveway area though. So, I'm at the point of choosing what I want, what I need and what I can realistically have. I'm glad I found this sight, I'm sure I'll find some great ideas.
