I have a Snap On box, KR-58B, 58, Snap On 8895. I have the drawers out and hardware removed and prepped for paint. The problem is that the top lid and face is pitted. Would like to fill the the pits and paint ( rattle can ) but not sure how to fill the pits. Not looking for a show room finish but a refurbished look. Anybody interested in the box or ideas on how to fill the pits? Also what year was the box made? Any clues from the above numbers? Thanks in advance Johnny Generic

Sand to bare metal and use some filler.

That’s my approach too.
I use this stuff. It sands beautifully.

Apply filler, sand smooth, spray on sandable primer, sand smooth, reprime if necesssary, then final coat.
