Guy's I'm pissed I lost my streamlight stinger yesterday looked all over he'll for it today I fear it's gone for good. So I'm wondering if there is anything a little cheaper that is comparable to the streamlight stingers? I don't care if it's rechargeable or not as long as it could run off AA's. And if there's nothing comparable any ideas where I could pick one up on the cheap I bought my first one off a tool truck for 200+ and I'm not doing that again.

Back in my former life as a cop, most guys carried the stingers. They can be had for $70 up to around $130 ish with charger. Look online for some good deals. If you are not interested in recharging, simply go to lowes or walmart and check out the Coast flashlights. Just as good, but cheaper...plus you can see them in person before you buy. The only advice I have is led flashlights are BAD in smoke and fog. I almost got ran over while stopping traffic for kids crossing the street for school on a foggy morning. Only incandescent lights will penetrate through the fog/smoke. Pelican flashlights are great for out in the weather types of work, they are very popular in the oilfield.

Sorry to hear, you lost your light. Since you already have the charger, you could just purchase the light for less than, the whole kit. Then when you find it you can swap them out.

I use a Pelican 2360 daily at work. AA batteries and bright LED. Well worth the cash.

A second vote on the Pelican.

A lot of my partners are going to them. Easier to carry.

I still have my old Streamlight.....and the new LED version....as well as my Stinger (just got a new battery for it).

And then I have the Surefire on my M&P. But some people get a little upset when you light them up with that one.....not sure why they are worried. My finger is not on the trigger.

I was told many people hide their light under a bushel. did you look there?

Ive lost all my edc stuff at one point or another. yesterday i found a lighter under my driver seat i know i looked there at least twice when it first went missing.

i carry a stylus pro;. my bigger lights are all either coast or northern.

Look no further. Nitecore MH25 and call it a day. Rechargeable USB. Cree LED. Cheaper and brighter than a streamlight.

I lost my stinger 2 days after I bought it off the tool truck so I feel your pain. I bought just the light off ebay for 80 dollars shipping included and it came with a battery.

Streamlight Polytac HP. It's the best light I have ever owned and it's a great value. I use it every night at work and it's going strong after 7 months of use.
