Due to clean out at a facility in Sydney we have over 1500 imperial sized sockets and spanners with AF, W, BS and unspecified sizes available. I trhink the ones listed as unspecified are most likely AF. There are no metrics.
Wrench types include ring, open ended, combo, heavy duty single open engineer, floggers etc.
Brands include King ****, Britool, Dowidat, Gedore, Dufor, Sidchrome, VBW, Snail, Williams, Maan and others.
The pieces are nearly all stamped or engraved with “G↑I” and many have various other markings from tradesmen’s names, departments and so on.
Ages are hard to determine with some certainly over 50 years old to as new but all are in what we consider to be a useable workshop condition. They have been cleaned but not detailed.
Please find attached list and a selection of pics.
If collectors are interested in something specific I can lay my hands on it fairly quickly as I did all the sorting and cataloguing, so I can send specific pictures if they can tell me some more info as they cover many different styles and ages, even within individual brands.
We really want them to go to people who will use them and appreciate the history.
Money is not the issue. We basically just applied a formula in excel to the size of the tool with a loading on the bigger stuff, especially the King **** units, so we don't really know.
Cheers,
Darby.
