Louder heater help

First of all I want to say how helpful this forum was to help me install my new Mr. Heater in my garage. Thanks !!

I mounted my heater to 2x4's up against my finished ceiling into the joists which are the floor joists of one of our bedrooms. Although the heater isn't all that loud, when the fan and heater kick in it really amplifies the noise into the bedroom. Is there something I can do to help quite the vibration?

you could get some vibration isolators for it. you should be able to get them at any HVAC supply house. tell them you have a hanging heater.

I don't want to sound like a safety mavin, but installing a "heating" unit against a finished ceiling below a bedroom raises a few red flags. I would be suprised if the installation manual allowed for mounting without clearances. Assuming it's a gas fired unit
