Hi there,
Posting this because my roomate and I have been talking about joining this forum because we were tired of lurking!
My background consists of roughly 5 years of machining experience while I was attending college for my mechanical engineering degree, and have been at my first engineering job as a manufacturing engineer at a Aerospace company for about a year and a half.
Today is actually my 26th birthday, and I have been collecting tools since I was a child. I spend my weekends working in the garage with music playing, and I cant express how much I enjoy it.
I have been building my first truck for a LONG time now, life seems to get in the way of projects. Its a 96 ford ranger that is meant for Baja type terrain. Some call them "Prerunners", but I don't really like that term as I don't actually pre-run race courses. Its basically a 2wd truck with dirt bike suspension (easiest way to describe it)
I am a member of Dezertrangers.com which is where I found most of my info to build my truck and do suspension tuning, but decided to join garage journal because I feel this is way more geared toward working in the garage.
I'm sure like most of you, I would like to have the "ultimate" garage and have been doing a decent job lately. I am looking forward to seeing all the pictures I missed when I wasn't a member and expanding my knowledge on garage tips and tricks.
I also enjoy riding dirt bikes, riding my Harley, going on camping trips, and of course...working on stuff! I am from southern California where the rent is expensive and the weather is hot!
I have included a few pictures of my truck if anyone is interested.
Thanks!
~Brian~
