Lovin' my Hyper Tough

Anyone out there really liking those Hyper Tough tools at Walmart? I just got a huge pry bar with the striking end cap and that thing is Boss!!! Really liking those little 1/4" driver and bit sets they have too.

Anyone out there have any thoughts?

I bought 2 of the bigger pry bars. used them several times no complaints. The single bar made in USA. Red handle

The 4 pack smaller set made Taiwan I think. the Green handles, I used them more than the bigger one and very pleased with them too.

That Hyper Tough pry bar with the striking cap is made by Wilde(USA). A lot of us here have Wilde pry bars. They're the manufacturer for the red handled striking cap pry bars under the Craftsman brand as well. They're solid tools that get the job done.

Only other hyper tough stuff I have resides in one of my road bags or my jy bag. Needle nosed pliers, slip-joint pliers, and diagonals. The diagonals aren't nearly as sharp as a good named brand and will dull somewhat quickly, but they're suitable for a road or jy bag where they'll seldom be used.

Wal-Mart may be "testing the water". As Sears is leaving the marketplace, they may see an opportunity and are just now finding their way.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for them.

The channellock selection has steadily been reduced over the years in my area so I'd guess they're not going to expand it considering they've expanded Stanley and Hyper Tough offerings in the last year or so. I'm hoping they'll add more USA made tools to the HT brand.

You may see Craftsman in Wal-Mart since they already handle Stanley tools and since Stanley now owns Craftsman, Hoping they bring them back to US manufacture.
