Bout a year ago I purchased a snap on 9 inch 1/4 breaker bar for $56 and some change direct from snap on. Free shipping. I wanted (not needed) a 5/8 deep socket in 1/4 drive. I have the shallow 1/4!drive 5/8 in proto. When I googled the 5/8 deep the snap on store came up. I ordered a blue point deep
1/4 drive 5/8 for $6.26(w/ sales tax) free shipping. Bash snap on all you want no one else had a 5/8 1/4 drive deep that cheap.

I regret giving them so much of my money, but some things they get right. And sometimes they have things nobody else does, and when they do it seems like a bargain.
I needed a 1/4 hex to 1/4 square adapter for a ratcheting screwdriver I have. It's an inch long and meant to be used with a bit screwdriver so you can use 1/4 drive sockets and the ratcheting screwdriver becomes a nut driver. The only other company that I found that makes it is Wiha, it's on Amazon for 10 dollars plus another 3 for shipping.
Snap on sells it for 7 and shipping is free.
Who would have thought Snap on would be the cheapest option?

That's part of the reason why they're so respected in the tool world. They have everything. Few other tool co's can claim that and back it up with a tool truck coming to your place of business.

But not so much respect here.

They are considered gods less heathens that just want to steal your money with unsavory business practices.....

LOL.

I just did the same thing, ordered a regular and deep 1/4" drive 5/8" sockets and I was also surprised that it shipped for free.

Got a tracking number the same day.

I've been waiting on a ship to store order from Lowes for almost two weeks. I'll be sticking to Tekton from Amazon or Snap-on for the hard to find stuff moving forward.

Duncan, the SnapOn truck guy who stopped where I worked, continues to be all about service long after I retired. He and his tools have never failed me. The majority of my tools are SK and other American Made names. I bought SnapOn for that special tool no one else offered. One of the events I miss more than others, now that I am retired, was the tool trucks. SnapOn was number one. Allied for SK and MAC were close seconds.
I can justify spending money on SnapOn because it works and is dependable. I was in a Comercial Transport trade.
