So, my buddy at work just picked up the Snapon low amp current probe for $395.
I have been looking for one as well.
I found this one.
It sure looks just like the SO version he bought.
Any thoughts?

It is not the same as the snap on one, but it is the same brand that comes with the Pico scope kits and I know several that use it and will work fine

this is when i would call people an idiot for buying snap on, fluke makes the best meters hands down, its from danaher now, but fluke all the time, however, the fluke ma clamp meters and attachments are very expensive hence that snap on price. doesnt look like the fluke, but it just may be if they want a high quality item to put their name on.

the good news is, the link you sent is a cheap brand, and they will work just fine. for the ma clamp meter i would go cheap because i personlly dont measure milliamps all that often as i am in the electro mechanical industry.

I picked up an electronic specialties low amp probe esi695 and I don't trust it at all. When measuring lower currents it is way off. I am not happy with it at all

I use a cheap Craftsman meter with builtin AC/DC clamp, powers on with some drift, seems to zero just fine, practical minimum 10ma, maybe a touch better with fussing with the zero and orientation of the clamp.

BTW cheap means $30 for a new open box without the temp probe.
