Low ceiling garage with lighting offset towards edges

After reading around the forum I'm still having trouble finding a clear answer, so hopefully someone would point me in the right direction.

My garage is about 30' deep by 12' wide, with low 7.5' ceilings. It has standard overhead opening garage door. It's under the house and has a finished drywall ceiling and block walls.

I'm trying to keep the garage clear and open and use it strictly as a work bay, with my machinery and tools kept in the attached basement workshop.

At the very back wall of the garage I have a compact squat rack/home gym. When I pull a vehicle into the garage to work underneath, I need to pull it in deeper than the garage door opener on the ceiling in order to have clearance to lift the car/truck high enough to work on without having it hit the roof of the vehicle on the garage door opener.

Would it be reasonable to mount strip lighting running the length of the garage, parallel with the long walls, and offset towards the sides in order to maintain maximum ceiling clearance for lifting vehicles? If the lights were inset from the side walls about a foot on each side, it would let me lift vehicles to work on with no additional clearance issues.

If this is doable, what LED lights would be recommended? If this is a bad idea as far as placement is concerned, what's the best alternative?

Thanks!

My setup it somewhat similar. I just upgraded all my Florescent using these LED's >> Amazon, JESLED T8 T10 T12 8ft LED Tube Light, Single Pin Fa8 Base, 8 ft LED Bulbs, 50w, 5000k Daylight, 6000lm (100-130w Equivalent), 96" Dual Row LED Replacement for 8Foot Fluorescent Fixtures. ( Sorry I can't post the link as I don't have enough posts).
The way these are built, half is clear tube the other half of the tube is silver essentially blacked out if you know what I'm saying. With this configuration, the bulbs are "aim-able" I have the center two bulbs pointed down and the two outer bulbs pointed out...one to the workspace and one at the wall. They light up everything and are brighter than the 4 - 75 watt bulbs they replaced. I really like them.

I have lights mounted like that. And an auto repair shop I visit even has some florescent fixtures mounted on the wall.
