Hi everyone, I recently purchased a home and I am in the process of a full remodel in the garage area. After replacing the concrete this week I will be on to lighting fixtures. It is only a 8 foot ceiling and I have some concerns about having hanging fixtures. I was wondering if there is anything you guys have used as more of a flush mount style light that someone could recommend. I'm on a pretty tight budget but I would rather wait than cut corners I that is what it has to be. Thank you in advance for any suggestions and I'm looking forward to learning from many of you.

Thanks,
Mike

I like that! Were they pretty spendy? My garage is only 24x24 I don't want to go overkill but I like to have adequate lighting. Can anyone advise how many I would need to properly light this space?

When I got those they were around $30 each and are American Fluorescent Corp brand, but Lowe's now carries the Utilitech brand for around $22 each (tubes not included). My small garage is 20X20 and I've got 4 of the 48" 2 lamp fixtures, so I'd think 6 of those would work fine for your 24X24.
