Low height lift: What's low height?

I understand if building a garage having high ceilings is a plus ... I'm wondering whats considered low?

I have high ceilings -- but the building has metal collar ties. Just wandering what a standard life requires ... does not much depend on what you want to lift?

My suv is going to require more space vs my convertible what makes a "low hight lift" do standard lifts have posts that go to the ceiling?

I've always considered any lift that will fit under 8' ceilings.

I would consider the Quicklift low height, maxjax and most of the scissor lifts mid height and the rest full height.

IMHO: If it won't lift your vehicle high enough for a 6'-0" man to walk under the frame... it's a low height lift.

Ceiling height is dependent on the vehicle.

Maybe post up some photo's yeldogt... maybe we can engineer around those collar ties?
