Here is the one I wanted but could not justify the shipping so I ended up with a Sears 2 ton Aluminum jack ...

American Forge and Foundry products are, oddly enough, made in china. I have no experience with thier floor jacks, but they sell a large vise which is definetly sub-par. Thier tool carts are also pretty flimsey.

I would take a look at an Arcan Jack. There is one floating around the shop and its a few month old, and pretty nice for the $$. IT was bought for less than 100$. Made in China, but It seems like most affordable ones are. It has a pretty low saddle height, Although Im not sure if it is under 3 inches like those jacks. Its a 3 1/2 ton unit that is pretty well built. As far as lift hight, I have never had a problem with this jack. The US made OTC's are a little high for certain cars that have been slammed or have full body kits, but I have not seen a stock car that this is too high for. It has a nice wide saddle and its pretty stable. IT definetly takes quite a bit of effort to jack up heavier loads, not quite as easy as other jacks I have used, but it also has a pretty high lift height.

I've got an AC DK20Q. I works fine and I particularly like the handle because it's easy to control how fast or slow you lower a vehicle. It doesn't screw one way or the other to lock or unlock. Instead you lift handle and slightly turn to the left to lower it.
