I've been doing a lot of reading through floor jack threads here and they have provided lots of great info. That being said, I haven't seen too many comments regarding Compac jacks and the 2T-77 / 90555 in particular.

Some background. I'm in need of relatively low profile long floor jack rated at at least 2T. The front jack point is about 5" off the ground and the rear about 7", but the rear jack point is pretty far forward, approx. 3'. I have a HF 2T aluminum racing jack that just can't reach these points, so I'm looking for a jack that can while also being a long term investment as I find myself doing more and more car work.

So, does anyone have any experience with this specific Compac model and that can perhaps comment on it's quality, durability, and construction? From all the posts on this forum, I see mention a lot of the superiority of U-Cup seals vs O-rings. That being said, it also appears that O-rings aren't necessarily an issue if the piston construction is a certain design. What designs those are aren't clear to me. I believe this Compac jack uses O-rings as far as i can tell from the parts schematic.

I've also eyed the Omega 29023, but I'm a bit skeptical of its quality.

In any case, any feedback is welcome and thanks to all who have made this forum a treasure trove of great info. I find myself checking it out just about everyday now.

I guess I would measure to see if the HF long reach would work.

If not, another $200 for the Omega seems like the answer.
