Searched but didn’t find any current info on smart thermostats for the garage. I’m looking for a smart thermostat for my garage that will go lower then 50 degrees. 40 should be low enough. I want to be able to remotely control the thermostat so I can turn heat on in the garage without having to go out there and physically do it. Added bonus would be if the app showed energy usage and allowed temp swing adjustments

My Nest thermostats can go down to 40 during "Eco" mode (when you are away), and have a safety temp of 35 if you shut off the thermostat.

I use a Nest thermostat in my detached garage, I turn if off when I'm not out there and have it set with a safety temp of 40. The app does show the amount of run time but I haven't seen anything to adjust the temp swing.

Had no issues connecting it to my MrHeater big maxx furnace, it did need a C wire run to it that my old basic thermostat didn't need.

Check for rebates from your utility companies. I got mine earlier in the year for $1 after an instant rebate.

That’s what I installed. Seems to work. We monitor it from 2000 miles away. Keeping it around 44 degrees to allow some margin in case of power outages.
