Okay everyone my dad just had is garage slab replaced so now I want to coat it. My father has Lung Cancer so I want to be sure it is a low voc coating.

Below is what I am looking for

Low VOC
100% solids
Full color chip broadcast.
Clear Coat.

Any recommendations on Low VOC coatings or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

You really need to look for solvent free. Even it the Epoxy says its 0 or low VOC that doesn't mean it doesn't contain solvents. I would look at the 2 component water based epoxy. You can broadcast chips into this and later top coat with a good 100 solids Polyasaprtic with no solvents.

Good luck...

Mark:

If you PM us, we have the entire package including a "solvent free" clear urethane that will hold up to some pretty good abuse.

Thanks and good luck.

If you're coating it and not him, why does it matter? Is he helping? Get him a respirator if he wants to watch. OR keep him away from the floor till it cures.

And get a good epoxy to start with, without solvents too!

You can go with a 100% solids low odor base and a 100% solids low odor epoxy top coat. You could go with a water based urethane which is what I am assuming Scotty is suggesting. I have just had better luck with the clear epoxy products than the water based urethane... (Scotty has both I am sure)
