Obviously one would only be able to dim from one switch, but besides that?

There is no such thing as a 2 way switch.
A 3 way switch is used to switch lights from 2 locations.
Is that what you meant?

Git response above is not correct.

Wire the 0-10VDC dimming wires - violet & gray - direct to a 0-10VDC dimming only control (like this one). This is a completely independent circuit from your On/Off AC line voltage leads. Wire regular On/Off switch function any way you like. You can only use 1 dimmer per fixture. You can wire all fixtures to 1 dimmer.

Eaton Wiring Devices SF10P and DF10P are on/off/dim using 0-10VDC for dimming. They wire either single pole or 3 way. You can dim from both locations. Available in all standard colors.

Thanks guys. The Eaton unit looks like a good solution. SInce I've not wired a low voltage dimmer before, one more question and it may be silly but say I have 6 fixtures is it acceptable to connect all 6 low voltage lines in the attic and run the single (pair of lv lines) down to the dimmer?

What gauge wire are the low voltage lines? I guess I'll see if I can ever decide on my fixtures....

Yes, you can do that. You'll likely have 1 purple and 1 gray on the fixture. Connect all the purples together to the purple on the dimmer switch. Same with the grays. Then connect black, white, red, green as required for power. Purple & gray are either 18 or 16 usually.

Regardless of the dimmer switch style (combined or independent On/Off & 0-10VDC Dimming functionality) you can only connect one 0-10VDC dimmer. With the combined dimmer-On/Off switch you need to stay within the max wattage load.

I went ahead and ordered the SF10P. Thanks. With a 1200W rating it should handle my 6 110W alphalite LEDs well.

It is on a 3 way switch. On the other end I would like a 3 way timer switch where you have on/off and then timer buttons. It's what I have now but in a two way switch. I've really enjoyed the count down system and everyone uses it instead of the simple on of switch. It is in the utility room. The Eaton 'other end' is in the garage. Any suggestions on a 3 way timer switch?

Are you looking for a "countdown timer"? Intermatic EI400 might work for you. You program in the number of minutes you want it to stay on (one time programming). It's single pole or 3 way. There are a lot of variations on this platform. www.intermatic.com .

Intermatic & Leviton make similar products. I think Intermatic is EI200 series, but I think the watts rating is too low and if I remember correctly, they aren't 3 way.
