Low voltage junction behind drywall

What is the proper way to do this? I have portion of a ceiling which will be covered with drywall and there is some twist connectors on door bell cable.
Is there any way to connect them to make it "per code" for drywall covering?

I have no way to re-pull cable..

Does code even address low voltage connections? I'd twist and wirenut them, install the drywall and never think of it again.

Some sparkie is gonna have a real answer:
My understanding of wire nuts is that they are designed for use in an enclosure, but don't know that it's required by code for low voltage.

Wire should be CL2 rated.

I do, however, see a bunch of low voltage wire nuts in residential around here that are not in boxes. Compression connectors are probably preferable.

Personally, I solder and heat shrink everything, but that's just me. Has nothing to do with code.

I guess I will ask inspector then. I was just thinking about similarity with 110V junction boxes. Those cannot be drywalled, need some kind of access panel.

In this case, I too would solder and shrink wrap it and then cover it up.

So be it. It will be maybe 1 connection under drywall, but I will get them all soldered/heatshring. It's 18ga solid core wire. I bet inspector won't even notice this..
