Anyone have a source for low wattage (as in low light output) PAR38 flood light bulbs?

I use one of those "portable" landscape flood lights to light the flag on the front of my house. The lowest output bulb I could find was a 45W, and it's still a bit too bright---I live in a dense neighborhood, I'm guessing that I'm blinding my neighbors by having the front of my house be so bright... also, we have a first floor guest room and this flood bulb ends up lighting up the windows in that room. I'd love to find a 20W or something similar which has a low light output.

I had been using a small solar powered landscape light, but to be honest it was underpowered even when full charged and it was not lasting thg night.

I suppose one potential fix would be to permanently wire a flood out there and run it on a dimmer switch... though I'm using a plug in dusk-dawn switch now, so I'd have to rig something up to put the dimmer on a timer...

you can get par 30 and par 20 in lower wattages -35w i think. Also get a 130v lamp as it will be a bit dimmer (and last longer)

Running a bulb rated at 130V at 120V will give you 25% less lumen output, 10% less electricity use, and double the bulb life. So a 45W 130V bulb will be the same as a 34W 120V bulb. PAR 30 should fit in a PAR38 fixture if you want to try that route.

Have you considered using a spot light bulb to concentrate the illumination on the flag and avoid lighting up the surroundings? They make bulbs in various beam spreads from 5 degrees to 60 degrees. Try a commercial electrical supply, rather than a hardware or big box store.
