Looking for one with usable range under 50'

Mostly for determining drain fall for the downspouts and perimeter drains.

Under $100? :dunno: Thanks

Why not use a transit?... new they are under $100 for the transit (if you already have a tripod and measuring stick).
Or, look for used rotary laser levels locally

Just looking for something quick and dirty, will not be used exstensively.

I already have a green level, but it does not work out side at all. Wondering if I can get by with using a receiver? :dunno:

FBM does not have much within 100mi.

I see. The only reason why I suggested a transit, is that they are generally the best for outdoor long range work in determining grade variances.

Of course, outdoor lasers make a 2 person job a 1 person job... but at 4x the cost.

Or... use your current laser level at dusk.

Final thought - you could use string and a bubble level for a few bucks.

Under $100- you're pretty much at the mercy of what you can find at that budget

You WILL need a pulse laser w receiver for outdoor use

We use a $25 Chinese (Amazon) self leveling laser level in an old photo tripod.

It's plenty bright if you use it at dusk or later. This may not be a great strategy for a professional contractor. But it works great for occasional DIY use-if you are not in a hurry.
