Lower Gloss Clear Coat

First, thanks to all who have posted about their experiences and results with epoxy.

I'd like to use a clear coat on top of epoxy and flakes for UV purposes, but am not a fan of what looks like a very high gloss that clear coats add.

Are there options for lower gloss clear coats?

We have a matte gloss clear(urethane), low smell too. Excellent for use over epoxy sysytems:

My primary reason for using a clear coat is UV resistance. Does this product provide that benefit?

It will not yellow/amber. However, that will not stop your epoxy from ambering at some point in the future. Uv rays pass through the clear.

That said, unless your garage is in direct sunlight a lot and the color is light you shouldn't see any issues for years .

contact me for a 2 part poly (lpu) satin finish with UV blockers. Very similar to an auto clear coat in satin.
