Yesterday at our local flea market,it was evident that Lowes had been found out. Several vendors had mutiplies of pliers, wrenches, and a few other odds and ends. They were near retail prices. No more good deals for me.

These folks go in and buy every last one with the intent to sell at or near full retail, making it hard for others to get a deal. If I am going to pay retail, I will just go to Lowe's and buy it, where at least there is a return policy if I don't like it (and I know for sure the item isn't shoplifted). Just like the couponers who go in and buy everything on the shelf and have it at their "permanent" yard sale the next day. My wife coupons and it gets frustrating to go in and see empty store shelves. I think this may be why there are less and less coupons in the paper as well.

You want a real eye opener? Check ebay. Lots of the members here do it. Back when they were clearance out their Knipex line as well as Fluke stuff, lots of it went to ebay.Brownsfan

I bought a bunch of knipex when that sale was on. No duplicates. All of it went into my box. Bought a fluke 113 for $20. I could have sold it for a profit, but it went in my box. I got lucky

I did the same thing with the Knipex tools (pliers for $3each) for me, and duplicates for my buddy that lives about 3 hours south where his Lowe's and Depot never have marked downs like I experience here.
