If anyone is looking at a Weber Genesis grill the $100 off is nice. Webers rarely go on sale and they're generally excluded from coupons.

Unless there are some interesting door-buster deals yet to be announced I will pass this year also.

Ryobi Miter Saw has been $99 for months now until earlier this month when the price went up $20 (Buyer Beware)

good deal on faucets! also the ladder deals are alwaysngood!

X 2 on the ladders. The Werner work platforms alone are worth the trip. Don't think they had them on sale last year. Past years I've picked up quite a few for friends and no ones been disappointed. I like them better than the Gorilla ones HD puts on sale. YMMV.

+1 to get the aluminum platforms . . . those are real handy.

Last night, the Lowe's cashier said there would be some "Special Deals" on Black Friday that aren't in the ad. Otherwise all the prices in ad are effective now.

There is a pretty cool ratcheting Kobalt screwdriver with quick release that was $19.99 worth waiting to get AFTER BF for lower price.

Why do you like the Werner platforms better than the Gorillas? I need a platform and am wondering which one to buy.

The main difference use to be the tops. The Werner has more of a grate type top, whereas the Gorilla has a "solid" top. Some might prefer the latter, but IMO Werners top has better traction.

All that said, I based my opinion on past models. It appears the Gorilla legs have been re-designed and it now folds almost totally flat and the leg locking mechanism has been changed. Not a fan of plastic parts, but I'll have to give the Gorilla another look, it might change my opinion of them. :dunno:

Probably haven't been much help in helping you decide. :lol_hitti Check both out in person if you can, again...YMMV.

Thanks for your thoughts. I think I'd like the solid top more. And the fact that the Gorilla folds almost totally flat is a plus.

Also, the Gorilla is 47.25" wide vs. the Werner at 39.5" wide.

Overall, it looks like maybe the Gorilla is the better buy now?

Did anyone notice the gladiator cabinets on sale? I see some pretty impressive deals on the 72" ones. I just bought the 72x36x18 from sears and since its shipping to store Im going to cancel if I can score either the 72x36x18 ($179)or the 72x48x18 ($249). They rarely seem to go on sale. I missed out on the home depot deal last week for the 36" last week at $149.. which was extremely rare..

The werner is way better. Especially if you are a heavy duty. I've seen the gorillas bend. Werner is more steady if you are on it and try and rock it.

I have 2 of the werner's and so does my dad. We use the heck out of them and they really come in handy. For $20, I highly recommend picking one or two up.

And the Gorilla is rated for 250lbs while the Werner is 225.

Size wise....it can go either way. I use a Werner when washing my Jeep. Be nice if it was a little longer. When I use one working in homes, the smaller size can be a plus...sometimes you just don't have a lot of room. With the splayed legs the Werners footprint is approx 50". I imagine the Gorillas is going to be approaching 5 ft. A lot depends on the situation.

Either way, or either one...don't think you can go wrong.

How is the work platform different from a standard 3-step stool? Is the platform height adjustable? I feel I need to try one myself.

It's wider and convenient for doing things like painting, mud work, electrical, etc. Better than moving the ladder constantly. I bought 2 actually, side them side by side so I can cover quite a span.

What are your thoughts on the Lennox hole saw pack? I like the saws. But not sure if this is a deal.

17 piece kit on Amazon is 160, and 26 piece kit is 260. Haven't found the 13 piece kit to compare.

Home Depot has a 15 pc kit for $40. But I've never thought they were as good.

Who knows?
I'd love a Werner platform...but my weight hovers between 225 and 230 pounds year round. I think I'll have to find something slightly more substantial.

Which Werner Model are we talking about here? There appears to be a couple of models, one being just a little over 3 feet wide.

Here's this,

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Werner-3-29-ft-x-12-in-x-20-56-in-Aluminum-Work-Platform/999946108

vs.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Gorilla-...-with-250-lb-Load-Capacity-GLA-47WP/206127529

Would the Gorilla be the way to go in this case because of size difference? Or should I stick with the Werner?

Thanks

I have the werner and like it. The extra 8" on the gorilla may come in handy. Get Both :D:thumbup:

Is the Gorilla available for you guys to order right now? Lowes shows ~100 of the Werners in stock at the sale price and available to order, but HD doesn't allow me to add to cart.

Same here, HD doesn't allow me to add it to cart. Its to generate anticipation for tomorrow's so-called rush. My local HD is pretty calm (not a huge crowd), free donuts and coffee on BF, and everyone is just there to look around. :)

Same thing happening to me at Home Depot. I've got a bunch of BF items in my cart for local pickup but the site is showing every store in a 100 miles with limited quantity and won't let me put the order through. I'm hoping they release the hold at midnight. I can get it shipped, but I'd rather pick up. A few things I'd like to grab, but nothing so bad that I want to be there at 6am.

Three items on my Home Depot Watch list are the following
- 40 pc Shockwave Milwaukee Kit
- 3 Step (4 ft) Gorilla Stool
- and the $19 Gorilla Work Stand (I hear Werner is better)
