Disappointing....5ft ladder @19 is a good buy, but I got a couple last year. Dewalt table saw @ 329 is decent...but no block-buster. Nothing I want/need for me either.

Thanks for the link though...

I love Lowes BF.

Why? Order online, use 10% off, don't deal with BF crowds.

But look - they're not even trying to get anyone in this year. Chrismas **** on the front page followed by appliances that are selling for 5% of what they normally sell for on sale?

The ladder is a good deal, they ran the same one in 4' and 6' for $19 previous BFs. I have both. Use them for scaffolding/etc. as much as I do a ladder. No work platforms this year - that ***** as those work really nice as well.

Overall... an even bigger meh than last year, and last year sucked compared to the previous year.

Well said Ishi! I might not even bother stopping in Lowes at all this year! - Paul

Members of this forum are so good at sniffing at tool deals year round so the "deals" Lowes and HD have are going to be lackluster at best. Best deal I saw in the Lowe's ad was the Hitachi 2" brad nailer for $50 from regular price of $80 - too bad I already have the same gun.

Nah, the deals the last two years have gotten progressively weaker IMO.

Hopefully Home Depot will have better stuff

ETA: I also noticed many of the items in the BF ad say "New Lower Price" I assume they aren't really BF deals then

Well at least I won't have to bother stopping there. I wonder if they're doing the Facebook flash deals again. I forgot to check last year.

Really weak ad. Only thing I need is a shop vac, and this one looks good. Home depot always seems to have much better BF deals than blowes

Lackluster ad indeed.

I bought the ladders and a lenox hole saw kit last year.

Looks like I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

Probably good enough deal to bite on the low end heat gun if you need one and don't have harbor freight in the area. Ladder and 1000 lumen flashlight also good deals. Oh, you can get 1000 lumen lights cheaper online so not the flashlight.

This is awesome, looks like I will have money left for Xmas this year. The interesting thing is that even if Home Depot's BF deals **** it may still beat Lowes'.

most of the home depot black Friday tool deals are no different than the ones that started on the 20th. $99 Ryobi 2pc, $99 M12 2pc, $99 Makita hammerdrill, $39 ridgid vac are front page items. not impressive at all

The Porter Cable 20v max 2pc kit would be a nice starter for someone just getting into a new cordless line.

The two 20v max batteries for $69 seems like a good deal, but they've been that price for at least a few weeks.

Nothing in there for me. Nothing in any of the ads that have come out, in fact. If Home Depot strikes out, I'll have a nice day of rest on Friday. Last year, I went to Sears, Lowe's, and Menard's. It was a pain in the ***.

All the pundits say tool deals are better around father's day than on BF. I think they are right.
I don't know. Father's day was kinda disappointing this year as well. I had the best luck on the Memorial Day sales.

As far as Lowe's bf ad probably pick up the Shop Vac but otherwise meh.

I'm surprised, they don't have the Mag lights on sale. They'e been in the BF sales for a few years

I noticed the same light as HF free too! Sears also does this. Makes it pretty clear how much profit Lowes is looking for on items, a good 100% more than HF would charge as normal price, or many more than that when it is FREE from HF! (infinity % increase?)

I think perhaps the best thing that can be said about Lowes BF this year is that our Lowes CLEARANCE thread is going to be hopping busy the next year as Lowes doesn't sell much inventory this season! We'll just all get stuff cheaper next year from Lowes instead! - Paul

Stock market is up, gas is down, they are all banking on people spending more without deep sale discounts.

I should have mentioned that I want a decent drawer configuration and cheap price tag :)
Craftsman stuff is so incredibly rotten these days.

Last Black Friday HomeDepot had their 52" box for 499 with free shipping. I want that back. I am guessing they are going to put their new 41" on the BF ad for $450.

I wish Lowe's would do some competitive pricing on their stainless kobalt boxes.

I was at HD last night and the had a pyramid of the $39 Ridgid vacs for sale already. I lifted up most of the black plastic covering all of the other BF items and it was mostly meh.

Crazy that Sears seems to be the better of the three this year.

HD already put that new 41" stack down to a holiday price of $450. I bought one and used a 10% Lowe's coupon on top of that. It's a pretty decent box. Thinner than the HF 44" and not good enough to bring to work, but it's strong for a home box.

No worries. I figured it probably wasn't what you were looking for, but figured I'd post it up anyway. [emoji1] Don't think I would spend 1k on a Craftsman chest myself!
