If you're going to buy China, you might as well buy it as cheap as possible at HF.

That's my thought.. if I need a set for around the rental I would probably go with the HF
if I was starting out I would get the craftsman pro full polish

wrench set is 50 online. surprised to see that they are different than the normal set that runs 40 bucks. i was interested in the set but not sure about the change in COO

I was just thinking about this the other day. A couple of years ago I was saying "I hope they keep their mechanics tool line made in the USA." Now it's come down to "I hope they keep their mechanics tool line made in Taiwan."

Taiwan stuff (nowadays) is excellent quality. They know their stuff. In 10 years (maybe less) I'll probably be saying the same thing about chinese quality.

Because I got into tool collection late, I never had the chance use Kobalt tools made by J H Williams. I do however own a good amount of Made in USA Danaher Kobalt tools. The new Taiwanese made Kobalt tools (aside from ratchets) blow away the Made in USA Danaher.
