Hey there folks!

Lowe's released their BF preview ad. Nothing that tickles my fancy, but let me know what you think!

Of note, the Shop-Vac seems like a decent value. Also, Nest thermostat is the lowest I've seen it go, but keep in mind this is the older model. The rest of the deals are very mediocre.

Nothing for me there. Same old "I think i'm handy" tools for guys that they put on sale every year. It'd be nice to see a real compressor, welder, tool box, etc on sale for once..

I would've thought they would have more on sale. Probably will. Last year their BF ad was like 18 pages

I don't see it yet this year but I got the Werner aluminum work platform at Lowes for $19 last Black Friday and have used it several times and really like it.

Yep, picked up two of them and they've been fantastic during our remodel.

Maybe the shop vac is a good deal; they are able to sell those things cheap because they are so damn huge that 'regular' people usually opt to buy something smaller. Just my thoughts...

I like black friday for the smaller ticky tack things that you can buy cheap, like cheap made in China throw away tools they can afford to sell dirt cheap.

Otherwise, you can probably find bigger ticket items just as cheap or cheaper at warehouse stores or a real good sale another time of year...

Pretty boring thus far. I'll wait to judge for the full ad.

The 227-piece for $99 again is a good deal if someone needs a portable, decent tool set.

good price on the nest thermostat.

That's like $27 off... you could use a 10% coupon and almost do practically just as well :)

Nest is awesome though... I've had a first-generation Nest since the moment Lowes started carrying it.

The first-gen one is actually $229 in their stores now, so it's really $30 off. Use the 10% off coupon on BF and go home with one for $180. Decent price.

Wasn't too impressed... Hopefully they will release another ad soon with something worth purchasing, even online.

I don't know, I do like that Porter Cable outfit for $69.00 The wife needs a new cordless drill since her Hitachi bit the dust. I could get the other add ons and use it also!! :rocker:
