I got 3 different files usa made of course and 6 handles total, 3 wooden 3 plastic.

Not a bad deal actually!

Tempted to buy the other USA made and the last 6 handles if they are not gone and send them to Texas to my Dad.

There's still several 10" USA files at one of my stores. There was a lone USA 6" that has been laying on the bottom shelf for a couple weeks now. I felt bad for it so I bought it...

I scored a few to round out the collection. One question though, were are you guys getting your handles for the bigger files like the 10" & 12" ?

The same ones posted in this thread work with them. The rubber handles have two inserts...one for larger files, and one for the smaller ones

Todays score! They had a few USA files and a bunch of Mexico/Brazil ones. I left a couple of USA ones for the next guy.

Picked up 3 more wood file handles at $0.74 each at Lowes this morning. Stopped by Home Depot and they price matched so I got 10 more there. Total for all 13 handles was just over $10. Only need another couple of dozen handles. I might have too many files (45 +) but almost no duplicates, all USA made, and I have more than enough room in my tool box.

I was at the lowes in Yukon today.....12" file made in mexico was marked $1.00, the rest were cheaper. I bought one of each plus a small round one. Two handles were .65 a pop. And I've already got a drawer full of files.

The deal is over a month old...all my local stores have pretty much wiped out the inventory and only have 1-2 hangers for Nicholson stuff.

Picked up three different size/types of Nicholson files today.

One was 70 cents, one was 50 cents, and one was 44 cents.

Didn't need them, don't use files that much. But for those prices, I figured why not. They still had about 10 more on the hangers for these sale prices. But one of each kind is plenty for me.

Two of mine were made in Mexico, and one was made in Columbia.

I went to a different Lowes, and found 2 of the 3 files I just bought that were Made in the USA. So I bought them.

The two made in Mexico are going back.

I had to pull about 40 files off the hangers to get the lone USA files way in the last slot in the back. A couple employees walked by me looking at me like I was crazy for completely emptying the hangers to get the last files in the back, then putting them all back together again.

Isn't it funny that the one person in the room that really knows what they're talking about usually ends up looking like the idiot?

The wood handles for the Nicholson files were .19 cents at the N. Smithfield, RI Lowes 02896 today. They had about 50 left.
