I got a skill miter stand for $54 today. Not a screaming deal but cheaper than what I'd have spent to build my own and this one stores better.

I bought two of the tool utility carts, one I'm sawzall-ing the top front out of, between leg brackets, and lid/top, putting 3/4 ply in top base, n mounting a miter saw. Miter saw bases are usually 3-5 inches tall, so you may need more plywood to bring it level with the side flip shelves that can be used for board support. Put a 24" plastic bin in the bottom for scrap.

Just thought I'd pass along the idea...$20 miter saw stand..

Will lowes price match on their own site? The store in Lawnside NJ has the cart for 71.59 but the store in Philadelphia has them for 52.00

It will be dependent on the store manager, some do and some do not match.

If you have not figured from this thread or some of the other Lowes threads, Lowes has no commonality between their stores when it comes to sales prices. Each store can be totally different on sale and clearance items, even within the same city/town.

I had that stand for several years. Very good for the money. Depending on your saw, maybe not the most stability you could ask for.

If you get used to the Dewalt 725 etc, or anything on wheels, you might not think it's much good. but to me the 725 was an upgrade so i sold mine.

There's two Kobalt 39-in 2-Drawer Utility Carts (#460636) showing up at the Abington, MA store (#2785) for $7.88 plus sales tax. That's a ridiculous deal for somebody out there!

WOW:shocking:

If anybody goes for those, I would definitely not order online and find them yourself in the store.

Well, the price never dropped again so I went ahead and ordered them. $58.44 for 2 of them. I'll try to sell the extra one on C-list for $60 so mine will be free. After placing the order I called and confirmed they were in stock and they had been pulled for me.

I'll pick them up in the morning. Never been to this store before because it's not very close. Will be interested to see what deals they have. There's also a HD and Sears within a mile that I've never been to. Deal hunting will be good tomorrow.

So here is the response I got when I emailed Lowes about matching and not matching other stores.

Groups of stores with a common competitor or within geographic proximity to one another where customers expect the same prices on identical items. Stores in Patch Areas share the following characteristics:

Geographic location
Distribution center (DC)
Servicing
Advertising areas.
Stores outside your Geographical area are not available to be price matched. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Been eyeing the Bessey clamps. Anyone know if there is a specific day of the week items get marked down?

They had it on the shelf as a display, and no more in stock. I offered them $60 for it since it was missing a few parts (nothing super important that I can't make or get replacements), and I get 10% off of everything there.

There are 5 in Brockton for $64.44, saw them in person today. I'd keep an eye on that store, price may drop.

I called the Whitman store and was told that Brockton had them, I asked about price matching and was given a hard time. Maybe I will take a ride to Brockton and see if they will honer the web price. doubt it...

Picked up all 3 LED lighted ratchets. The switch just unscrews from the back making it flush with the top of the ratchet. All 3 totaled under 20.00. Also picked up a 1/4nut driver for 0.94. Added the handle to the 1/4 ratchet

I was just going to pick up some lighted ones on clearance to replace my crappy Craftsman ones, glad to see you can remove that whole light assembly.

Item doesn't exist anymore when I search.

Didn't show up for me either, but I googled "lowes kobalt utility cart" and it came up in google results, which took me to lowes' site. It was listed in some random location, plumbing fixtures or something.

Also on my $35.80 cart that was canceled on Monday. I drove to the store in person last night, spoke with customer service and a manager. There was one other store in the area (about 50mi away) that had 7 in stock, but for $93. They are supposed to be shipping it to this store from the original price I paid, we shall see.

The one I stopped by today had a metric as SAE ratchet/wrench/nut driver set for $23. It shares a common handle with a bunch or different attachments for the wrench and ratchet. I got the metric set for my wife's car, thinking about going and getting the last SAE for my motorcycle tool kit. Size wise it seems like a better use of space than what I currently have in my tool roll
