Found one for $2.60, says ready for pickup. Wonder if the chuck is really there, or if it will "disappear" before I can go get it...

Update:

Picked it up, although I had to wait 10 minutes for the kid to get it, even though when I called a different person said it would be waiting at pickup (and it wasn't). Got an IR air ratchet for $25. Last one.

So here's my story...

I too purchased the Kobalt 2 drawer cart (#460636) online on April 6th for $64. I went to pick it up yesterday evening (12 days later) and they really were having a lot of difficulty in finding it (30+ mins!)???

Come to find out, they couldn't locate it because it was somehow retagged to one of the store employee's on 4/17...right over the top of my name and pick up slip info. I guess they thought it may not be claimed?

I was absolutely furious as they were trying to send me away empty handed since it was the last one in the store.

The store Manager quickly rectified the matter and even adjusted the price to $32, since that is what it was reflecting on the website.

In the end it all worked out okay, but going forward, I definitely won't procrastinate when it comes to picking up my online orders!

I really owe it all to the customer service girl who shared the 'behind the scene' insights to me!

Back when the atv/motorcycle lifts were closed outs they had trouble finding my order even though it said "ready for pickup". I stayed the course and they eventually found them and the employee who brought it up front said "if I had known about that deal I'd bought it". I had a feeling another employee had hid my lifts. It all worked out in the end.

I don't remember the clearance item - believe it was a 24" level - but when I went to pick it up after several days, was told it had been marked as picked up already in the computer. I could see it tucked behind one of the computers in the customer service area. Every other time I've picked an item up, it's been locked in the cage up front. Have to believe one of them was just about to pull a fast one. If it wasn't for the amazing deals I sometimes find, I'd never step in another Lowe's again.

I think it is stated your order will be canceled either 7 or 10 days after if not picked up.

Same here. Its not the store's fault but if you can't trust employees ....

Local Lowes had several CRKT knives on sale...people may want to check on their next Lowes trip..

**On a side note: Kershaw Knives????
Anyone noticed Kershaw knives completely removed from shelves this week?

I stopped by the same Lowes two consecutive days, and I always walk by the two knife/multiple tool racks because they sometimes mark down knives. All the Kershaw knives were gone, as we as gone from their website. Maybe Lowes lost rights to sell the brand?

I was going to put one of mine on CL but never made it to the house with both. I had to pick up a trailer tire from the tire shop on the way home and the owner bought one out the back of my truck for $80. Only paid $27.22 a piece for them after coupon. Was an 83 mile round trip to pick them up so I got my gas back and a free cart.

I see this stuff pop up all the time at the flea market at maybe 10% off retail. You know what they got it for. Nothing wrong with buyying something for a dollar aand selling it for 10 but when its only 12 new not reallyy a deal.

There's already one listed near me.

I finally decided to buy one as there was only one left local. Didn't get it for a killer deal, but I'm happy anyway!

Well I guess with this you don't know if they paid $27 or $107 or anywhere in between...I think its worth $100 all day and that's what I will try to get out of it

I seem to recall my order for the cart stating pickup should be claimed within 4 days before it returns to inventory. :dunno:

I went to the store where I ordered my $35 cart, which was promptly canceled due to online showing 1 in stock, but none in the store. Spoke with the manager, and one should be on it's way from another store that had them in stock (though they showed $93). So it should be here one day this week, we shall see.

Also picked up one of the 1/2" Jacobs chuck for $4, easy install onto my 19.2V Craftsman drill to replace the 3/8 chuck it had. Used it several times over the weekend, very satisfied.

Also picked up the last $12 spark plug 4 pc set (the 3/8 fine tooth flex head ratchet).

Just bought one of those led ratchets for $4.71. Has anybody completely removed the led part? Or is it even possible? It's a nice fine tooth ratchet nonetheless just wish it wasn't so bulky.

Yup, unscrew the cap, then use a pliers to unscrew the whole assembly. My store shows they have 3/8" and 1/2" in-stock, but I was only able to find 1/4".

My store only has 1/4 and 3/8. Have you checked the end cap and the clearance section usually at the end of where they keep the tools, usually it's close to the contractors checkout.

Ended up grabbing two of the Bessey 50" K-body Revo clamps at $34.01 each at a local store in zip 23060. Other local stores varied in higher price and none had moved in the last few weeks in price. Since they were actually cheaper than the 40" clamps, might as well go big! Only difference was the length of the metal rod to allow for a greater width, clamp size was the same and Amazon had the angle pad adapters for $15/pair. Impressed with the quality.

Prices on the remaining crossforce wrenches seem to be going down if you have stores that still have them.

Picked up an 8mm for $0.41 just because...

A couple of sizes are down to $2.**

Got done working in Seattle today and there was a Lowes across the street!

Took my lunch break to walk around and check out the deals. An employee asks if I need help. I ask him to look up the tool cart and see if he has them in stock.

He has 4! I say what price? He says $32! He looks behind him and points in the overhead at them. And then says, wow I can't believe they're down that low. I say if you'll pull them I'll buy all 4 right now.

Waiting for I him to pull them I go online on my phone and purchase 4 from that store using online promo codes and got 4 for $130 before any employees could try and stop it. Service desk processed it and he helps me load them in my work van.

Then he says man you could sell those for three times that. I said EXACTLY!

Not sure if I'll sell them all. I have 5 now. At least need to make my money back. May paint one a different color!

Damn, sound like you hit up the Rainier Ave store? I've been watching them to see if they would go any cheaper since I've already got 2. Guess not now!

Did exactly that! I already have 1 as well but couldn't pass them up. I figured I could sell one or two to make my money back and have a couple extra at least for a bigger shop some day. Or sell them to friends and Co workers.

Looks like the carts are completely off the site now? Was waiting for them to get inexpensive locally but my search-fu isn't working...

it's wierd, the store you're assigned to when you search has to have them in stock. If not then it shows "no results found".

While I was in the store I searched for them and they didn't come up. I had to change it to the specific store I was at then they came up.

In hindsight I should e done two orders and did a 10 off coupon on each but I didn't think of it at the time so I ended up paying $29 per cart.

I found them by searching on Google, then once I have the link to the item I can check store stock based on zip. Oddly enough, the one local-ish store that had them showed them as being categorized in Appliances -> Washers and Dryers on the item page.

Google "Lowes 460636". Should be the first result.

That worked... sort of.

From my tablet when I tried to select a store the web site blocked me saying that it had detected malicious activity (Chrome on Android)

From my PC it works, but I find that no store in my area has them for less than $50; more than half the stores don't stock it :(

Also, probably the reason these aren't selling better is that on the web site Lowe's has them categorized as Home Heating & Cooling Space & Kerosene Heaters Propane Heaters (wtf?)

The big shots were in town yesterday. If you could find out where they are going you could get some good deals on the returns or clearence stuff.
