Check the front and back support rails under the box. At work now but I believe those were the screws that connect the box to the horizontal support rails.

Yep. Should be 3 in the front and 3 in the back.

Be prepared to lay the box on it's back and loosen the bolts connecting it to the corner support rails in order to get those to line up.

I don't know about having to lay it on it's back, but yea he'll probably have to loosen them up in order to get those holes to line up. I assembled mine fully, but only tightened everything finger tight, then when I was done I torqued everything down once I made sure it was nice and straight. The assembled ones I had seen in stores seemed to all have a little "lean" to them.

I left all the screws loose until I had it completely assembled so I could line the holes up easier. This also allowed me to completely square it while I tightened everything up.

I kind of think Mr Brooks is right. The thread is about deal not putting your deals together. If there are problems putting something together it could run a few pages. Just my unsolicited opinion :dunno:

I think we should have a few more pages of discussion whether or not to have a discussion...and then come to a conclusion with a report on how we came to that conclusion. :)

I'll stop by after work and check the COO. These might be leftover Chinese sets from the Christmas season.

All of these appear to be taiwan.

It is a set that they carry in regular stock, but must be getting rid of. I bought one last summer on sale for $25. Picked up another for $20 last week and it was the same thing.

Spyder Reciprocating Saw Attachment Kit

Item #: 416376 | Model #: 900411

I was able to pick up 12 of these for $3 each. Originally around $30. Pretty decent quality. I would never pay $30, but they're definitely worth $3.

You must have one really nice store. All of the stuff you've been posting is still waaaayyyyyy higher for me.

Yep, Taiwan...so I bought the last one right before they closed last night. My local store had 38 when I first checked online yesterday. The girl at the checkout said that she rang up at least 20 for employees...now they are sold out (I figure that's fair; they don't get paid anything, so they should be able to jump on the clearance stuff before it's gone).

The set looks to be of pretty nice quality and doesn't skip any sizes. The box even has a metal hinge pin, so that should last a while. I'm going to use it as part of a trunk toolbox. My only complaint is that the sizes are laser-etched rather than stamped. They took the time to stamp each socket with its individual part number, though. It's just a weird decision to stamp the part number but etch the size.

Can't imagine anyone could ever use these at work and have the etching last for any decent amount of time.

I live in downtown Houston and work about 45 minutes south, so I have about 6 Lowe's on my way home and another 6-10 at my disposal. I'm usually able to find just about any of the deals at one of the stores if I watch closely enough.

I just happened to stubble upon this deal while doing a lap before picking up my online order.

Tried to haggle down a floor model Bessy 6" vise that's on clearance, but the tool guy said he couldn't do anything until they sold the other three (in box) they had.

Hahahahahahahaha no.

Chinese leftovers from Christmastime. These are cheap knockoff versions of their normal Taiwanese wrenches.

It's funny that they say "Was: $149.97." They never were.

Saw a Kobalt small gravity feed paint gun marked down to $9.** from $49.99, item no 301339. The large model was still at $49.** from $59.99. Not sure if they're any good.

All of the Bessey clamps and vises have been on clearance for what seems like forever, but haven't dropped beyond 10-15% off in most cases. Most of it is made in China which makes me wary, but my local store does still have a box of 4" bar clamps made in Germany marked down to $3.49 from $4.99. What do you guys think, are these decent? May have to go back for them...

I noticed lowes removed their bessy clamps last week, as if they lost their rights to sell most of the models. Might have been in the contract, n Home Depot picked them up.

I also noticed that Bessey clamps have been removed from the Lowes website even though I saw many of them on the shelf at my local store this afternoon. I have picked up 4 of the big K-body clamps on clearance the past few weeks - these are great clamps for building cabinets.

That set is not the 34-piece Christmas set.

That set is a new 50-piece obstruction wrench set.
