Best Use?: inexpensive light-duty side cabinet/cart that nearly matches HF red cabinet. Sell the top chest or put it on a shelf

Yeah, at $25, I'd buy one of those chests to hold sandpaper, shop towels, etc. If it went up to $35, I'd pass. The quality is almost insulting.

Just ordered two of these for $10 each. Nothing special, but will work well on a shelf for parts and my pile of warranty receipts. lol! Also, reviews say it's made by Waterloo. Worth trying I guess.

Just picked up the right and left cut Wiss snips for $3.50 each. They did not have any straight cut ones on the shelves and I asked an employee (no luck). When I got home, I started looking for other stores that had them in stock... turns out, this store is the only one around me that had them still, and they were showing 20 in their inventory!

If you live in the Dallas area, the Murphy store has plenty.

They have 2 diff versions. The center cut aviation snips are ueless to me. The straight cut that have jaws like the green and red are excellent

What is center cut never heard of it personally? I know there is a left, right and straight cut but never heard of center cut.

Saw this at one of the local Lowe's on Sunday. I checked it out, and it was pretty flimsy, but cheap. I've been looking for something about this size in this price range because I don't really have that many tools (or a garage). Regular price is $99, it was marked as on clearance for $94. Figured I would pass, since $5 off to me is far from "clearance" price.

Was stuck at home all day today and basically just surfing the net for the past few hours, and noticed it was marked 75% off. I figured for $25 it was worth a shot.

EDIT: They just called to let me know it's not in stock and they're cancelling my order
Guess I'll have to keep looking.

UPDATE: Checked again just a few minutes ago and it's listed as 1 in stock at the Lowe's near my work, same price. Figured I would give it another shot, ordered it for store pickup...... and went through and is ready for pick-up :D The one I saw last Sunday at a different store was still in the box, but beside it was the exact same thing but with a different brand/tag and was priced at $150. I'm assuming they're just trying to get rid of this current brand/model?

Anyway, I know it's a bottom of the bottom of the ladder type cabinet, but it will be nice to have a little cabinet to put my stuff in.

Not quite sure.

I do have a pair that has blades on each side and takes a "slot" out which I find REALLY nice to use, since it leaves each side straight and flat. Not sure what you'd call these:

Measurements on that box were way off. I went to pick them up and the store only had one and it was 26"x12". Same item number on the box though.

Was there yesterday. They had these. The Skil was more money.
I stopped and picked up both sets today's. At that price I couldn't resist. I got the last 130 piece set at my local store. The 29 piece wasn't labeled at the marked down price but I had an employee price check it and it came up at $16.98

Saw the 5 drawer two piece unit and available for $25 online. Ordered it and hit the store. They did have it... Sort of. Only the bottom cabinet. Another store had the display unit still locked and offered that at $25 if I went to go get it.

Got on site, saw it marked at $50, got the store manager to honor the price I had already paid for it instead of canceling my order.

They also had three 3 drawer mid chest units for $20 each so I picked those up.

Hillman hardware is still marked down in the bins but not in the system. I picked up a pile of stuff and found I had been overcharged by$30. I wasn't going to argue, but went back and took pictures of each clearance tag, then went to customer service whom was happy to adjust the prices for me.

All told, $100 for a bunch of stuff.

Now what the heck am I going to DO with the tool boxes? I have more than I need now. Hmm. Hobby use or light use only. I will find a purpose.

What is normal price for this? Found 2 on stock locally but they are showing $40.

I checked a couple of Atlanta area stores and both had it at $40. For $10 or less, I would consider bolting a bunch of them together and using them for hardware storage.

I worked out of those Task Force boxes for 3 years with a few friends/roommates. They held up but they were more or less the 'tool room' and we worked off of service carts or me on the bench. If you treat them gently they will last for years even with more weight than they are rated. If you're sliding them all day every day though, they will wear out fast.

Are the High Speed Steel bits a lot better than the gold oxide version?

If they're made by Waterloo, then Waterloo might be the worst toolbox manufacturer now.

i just ordered one at 16.00 bucks. i found out that it is different prices at different stores in my area. why is that?

Someone discussed it before, each store has freedom to price clearance items I guess. There's one store near me that always seems to have a better price than the others.
